Once again this year, our Centre for Sensing Solutions took part in EGU General Assembly: We are proud that two of our scientists, Abraham Mejía Aguilar and Andrea Vianello, were able to present their research at the event.

Andrea presented some preliminary results related to the development of a data collection portal for the EO4MULTIHA project, funded by the European Space Agency - ESA, which aims to explore the potentiality of Earth Observation products to advance the scientific understanding of high-impact, multi-hazard events in order to identify, characterise and assess their risk, vulnerability and associated impacts on society and ecosystems.

Abraham presented a GIS-based data management system for efficient planning and execution of emergency missions using drones, demonstrating a significant reduction in defibrillator delivery time in mountainous areas inside the Interreg project START2 Living Lab, in collaboration with NOI Techpark.
