Round Table - Project Return
Project Return: Networking to understand and address risks from heat waves and drought in South Tyrol.

On Thursday 4th of April, the Center for Climate Change and Transformation had the pleasure of organizing a round table as part of the project Return (Multi-risk science for resilient communities under a changing climate), financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
The event was set up in order to promote an effective exchange of ideas and encourage collaboration with representatives of organizations that face the challenges of climate change in South Tyrol. In the round table, after the presentation of the project, the activities carried out and linked to heat waves and drought were discussed.
The Return project aims to create a network between universities, research bodies, local authorities, the national Civil Protection Department, private individuals and industry on the topic of integrated management of natural risks and the impacts of climate change. In this framework, Eurac Research carries out research on the climate risk associated with the progressive increase in temperatures and the occurrence of extreme events such as heat waves and episodes of drought, particularly in the urban and peri-urban context.
